Milton
M. Avrett, III established his practice and firm in 1978. Since
its inception, the firm has offered legal services in the general
practice of the Law in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA) of
Georgia. During the 1980's, the firm represented a large financial
institution in regulatory, litigation, and commercial real estate
matters.
In 1986, the firm expanded its services to include
Aiken, Edgefield, and Richland Counties in South Carolina. Since
the late 1980's, the firm's practice has been concentrated in the
areas of bankruptcy (Chapters 7 and 11), medical malpractice, domestic/family
relations, worker's compensation, wills/probate, and construction
litigation in the Central Savannah River Area, which is generally
composed of four (4) counties each in South Carolina and Georgia.
Milton M. Avrett, III was born in Augusta, Georgia, August 15, 1944;
admitted to Bar in Georgia in 1970; and admitted to Bar in South
Carolina in 1986. He attended Augusta College (A.S.) and the University
of Georgia (B.B.A., with honors, 1966; J.D., 1969). He was a member
of Phi Kappa Phi honorary society and Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity
(President 1969).
